Eligibility
The contest is only open to amateur dancers
An amateur here is a dancer who does NOT make more than 50% of his/her income from teaching Balboa (or other forms of Swing) and, in the past 5 years (i.e. since July 28th, 2003), neither has made it to the finals of other pro national Balboa competitions, nor has won the amateur division of a national Balboa competition.
